The Wild Reset
A gentle menu
of tiny ways, back to yourself
1: Find your feeling
2: Pick your method of mild chaos wrangling
Choose what pulls you
Or choose the one that feels slightly inconvenient (in a good way)
Or blindly pick the third one
Stressed?
Plant yourself outside for 10 breaths and wait for your petals/leaves to unfurl.
Listen to birdsong and imagine their conversation. Listen for the stories on the wind, which trees are gossiping the loudest? Whisper back what is most worrying.
Press your feet firmly into the ground and notice where your body meets the earth. Find a rock that feels like you right now. Tell it about why you resonate.

Upset?
Lean on a tree and borrow the sky for long enough to send each worry to a cloud for safe keeping. Slowly look around and find 3 things that feel steady or familiar.
Find and tell a flower why they’re special and snagged your eyes. Be the rainbow in their day.
Put your worries metaphorically onto a leaf and send it out into a lake/river like a message for the universe to solve in a magic way for you.
Conflicted?
Sit outside or near a window and name 5 creatures. Why are they there? Where are they headed? Can you help them? Turn your head slowly and notice what’s behind you too.
What do your toes want? What would your body ask for right now if you weren’t thinking? Move your body before your thoughts.
What would be the tiniest tick-able task right now?

Overwhelmed?
Breathe into each of your fingers and then each of your toes. All the way in and out before you move onto the next. Let your eyes land on something steady and stay there for a few breaths.
Soften your gaze and listen with your soul and spirit instead of your head. Wait until your heart says hi. Lean your back against something solid and let it hold you for a moment.
Lie down and listen for noises, Hum back whatever you hear as quiet as you possibly can. Imagine it’s a mouse Aria.
Tired?
Reset: Stretch as tall and as wide as your favourite tree, then tighten all your limbs until you’re squished and release all at once. Gently squeeze your arms or legs and feel the edges of your body. Repeat at will.
Energise: Imagine you are stepping into a bath of honey and mentally sweeten each body part with a little bee-like bounce. Sway side to side like a flower in the wind for 30 seconds
Surrender: caress each of your limbs with a feather or feather-light touch. As you progess, send a thank you/gratitude to each part for looking after you.
